Finally. After years. Photos from this gallery haunted me long before I took them. When I heard of endless fields of Spring Crocus (Crocus vernus) at Velika planina plateau, I knew I needed to get there with my camera. Otherwise known for the largest herdsmen’s settlement in Europe, Velika planina will charm you in all seasons. But only in the last days of April we have a chance to be amazed by purple fields of flowering Spring Crocus. With last patches of snow, green fields, blue sky and Kamnik Savinja Alps in the background it makes a beautiful living painting by mother nature…
